Another clear, blue day! Arrived at Cabo at about 10:00AM. I
started my day with about 4 laps of job/walk around Deck 3 – The Promenade
Deck. Quite pleasant! For breakfast today we went to the dining room. Nothing
special, but certainly less hectic than the buffet. (We can eat wherever we want).
We had signed up in advance for the Pirate Ship Whale
Watching trip. We met our group at about 11:00, boarded the tender boat and met
the pirate ship at the pier. The Pirate
Ship was quirky and fun. An old tub manned by pirates! Complete with snacks. We
puttered around just beyond the harbor entrance and saw quite a few whales
breaching. Got some great views of “The Arch”, Cabo's famous photo spot.
Upon return to the pier, we walked around the town and
checked out the shopping. We bought a silver bracelet for Sam and some Mexican
pottery. The sellers were in a bargaining mood, so we played the game. Did we
end up with a good deal? No Idea.
The place is packed with expensive fishing boats and yachts.
The boat traffic around this small bay is amazing! It must be nuts around here
during spring break.
Walking around a beautiful resort hotel called Tesoro, Sam
tripped over a step and crashed to the ground. We think she may have sprained
her ankle. Dang. So we limped our way back to the ship and got some ice for it.
After a nice dinner in the buffet, we went to the evening
show in the theater – a wonderful magician/illusionist by the name of James Cielen. Very entertaining!!
Hopefully, Sam's ankle won't slow us down too much tomorrow
as we explore Mazatlan.
