Wednesday, February 1, 2017 - Sea Day

After a great night sleep, woke to bright sun, clear skies and calm seas. I started my day with a half hour on the treadmill, with a view over the front of the ship. There is a full schedule of activities on the list today, something for everybody. We had a leisurely breakfast from the buffet, walked the decks in the sunshine and explored the ship some more. Saw some whales and porpoises. This boat has TEN floors so its hard to get oriented and know where everything is. (Note: even by the end of the trip, we were having trouble finding our way around!)

We were entertained by a Mexican singer and dancers by the pool. Then it was time to eat again!
We attended a presentation about the ports we would be visiting. Our cruise organizer hosted a reception with nice snacks and drinks in the Piano Bar. Then off to dinner in the Vista Dining Room with our cruise mates.

After starters of shrimp cocktail and carrot soup, I had a Peppercorn steak (too peppery); Sam had roast duck (awesome!) After dinner, off to the theater for a song and dance performance by a bunch of energetic young people called the Westerdam Singers and Dancers.

Looking forward to tomorrow as we go ashore to Cabo San Lucas and a Whale Watching adventure!
